Montrose's tournament run continued when they took on Pueblo Central on Friday. Montrose put the hurt on Pueblo Central with a sharp 38-16 win. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Lilly Nelson had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Maggie Legg, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Glenwood Springs came up short against Pagosa Springs on Friday, falling 48-24.

Montrose pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.2 points per game. As for Glenwood Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
