Basketball Game Preview: Lutheran Lions vs. Lewis-Palmer Rangers

The Lutheran Lions will face off against the Lewis-Palmer Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lutheran will be strutting in after a win while Lewis-Palmer will be coming in after a loss.

Lewis-Palmer will be up against a hot Lutheran squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Lutheran managed a 44-38 victory over Discovery Canyon on Friday.

Lutheran got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Berkley Schneider out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards. With that strong performance, Schneider is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Isla Koffmann, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.

Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Lewis-Palmer was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 34-20 bruising from Palmer Ridge. The matchup marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Lewis-Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Everything came up roses for Lutheran against Lewis-Palmer in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 56-29 win. In that game, Lutheran amassed a halftime lead of 42-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
