Springfield has gone 8-1 against Cheraw recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Longhorns will take on the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Cheraw will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Springfield extended their winning streak to six on Thursday. The Longhorns breezed past La Veta to the tune of 71-21. Given the Longhorns' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Redhawks are ranked 279th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Cheraw's strategy against Walsenburg on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wolverines blew the Panthers out of the water with a 54-14 final score. The Wolverines pushed the score to 40-11 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers had little chance of recovering from.

Cheraw's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 14-3.

Springfield was able to grind out a solid win over Cheraw when the teams last played back in February of 2025, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
