Basketball Recap: Scotland/Menno Takes a Loss

Scotland/Menno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 53-41 to the Corsica/Stickney Jaguars.

When it comes to explaining why Scotland/Menno lost, don't look at Izayah Ulmer. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Erick Buechler, who had six points and three steals.

Scotland/Menno's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Corsica/Stickney, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scotland/Menno will welcome Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centerville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Scotland/Menno likes a good challenge. As for Corsica/Stickney, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mitchell Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corsica/Stickney is facing Mitchell Christian at the right time seeing as Mitchell Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
