Soccer Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

If Richfield was riding high fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Gunnison Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Richfield Wildcats lost 8-0 to the Manti Templars on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Templars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Manti, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richfield will take on Carbon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manti, they will square off against North Sanpete at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Manti will be up against North Sanpete's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.4 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
