Baseball Recap: Bradford Takes a Loss

Bradford had lost 12 straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-21 to make it 13. They lost 17-0 to the Franklin Monroe Jets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in April.

As for Franklin Monroe, they moved to 12-14 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

For Franklin Monroe's part, Braden Gilbert was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Gilbert has posted since back in April. Matthew Hurley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Bradford nor Franklin Monroe have any future games scheduled.
