Baseball Recap: Dawson Comes Up Short

Dawson and Fort Bend Clements squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dawson had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 6-5. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rangers earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Dawson's loss dropped their record down to 17-14-1. As for Fort Bend Clements, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-11-1 record this season.

Dawson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Bend Clements, they will square off against Goose Creek Memorial on Saturday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
