Baseball Recap: Cache Triumphs

While Cache's win against Pauls Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Panthers on Monday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Deshaun Harvey was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Mason Carrisalez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cache's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Pauls Valley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cache beat the Panthers by a score of 13-3 later that day.
