Basketball Recap: Scio Piles Up the Points Against Gaston

Scio won the last time they faced Gaston and things went their way on Monday too. The Scio Loggers breezed by the Gaston Greyhounds to the tune of 62-35. Given the Loggers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Scio's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Gaston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

When Scio and Gaston next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Scio will try to stop Santiam's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Gaston will try to stop Knappa's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
