Preview: Easley HomeSchool Guardians vs. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats
After three games on the road, Easley HomeSchool is heading back home. They will take on the Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Easley HomeSchool had just enough and edged Cambridge Academy out 37-34.
Meanwhile, Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Coastal HomeSchool by a score of 36-23. Given Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics' advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 131st in South Carolina, while Coastal HomeSchool is ranked 414th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Caroline Mcgee, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Mcgee is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Rylan Dundon was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 17 rebounds and five steals.
The win got Easley HomeSchool back to even at 3-3. As for Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Easley HomeSchool came up short against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, falling 43-36. Can Easley HomeSchool avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
