Softball Recap: Whitehall Comes Up Short

If Whitehall was riding high fresh off their 15-9 takedown of Warrensburg last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Railroaders came up short against the Argyle Scots on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The Railroaders have struggled against the Scots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Khloe Paddock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

Whitehall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Argyle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitehall is set to take on their familiar foe Lake George at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Argyle will challenge rival Corinth at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
