Hiawatha and Sabetha are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Hiawatha Red Hawks will head out to face off against the Sabetha Bluejays at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hiawatha is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Hiawatha is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against St. Marys on Friday. The match between Hiawatha and St. Marys didn't end well, with Hiawatha falling 59-43. While the Red Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 17-13 in the first quarter.

Sabetha got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 46-39 victory over Perry-Lecompton on Friday.

Hiawatha's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Sabetha, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-14.

Hiawatha was able to grind out a solid victory over Sabetha in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 51-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hiawatha since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
