League recap: River Forest's Lauderback delivers best pitching performance from past week

Greater Southshore league recap: 5/30/13

Greater Southshore's top pitcher this week was River Forest's Chris Lauderback. Over the past week, he had one win and five Ks.

Top honors in the league this week go to Bishop Noll, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. The Warriors beat Whiting 9-1, Wheeler 11-5 and the Ingots 7-0.

North Newton boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

Three batters hit over .400 this week. They were led by Chad Schultz, who hit .750 this week (3-for-4).



River Forest's Lauderback led the league in strikeouts this week with five. With 46 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks second in the league.
