Recap: Rockford Rockets vs. Central Raiders
The Rockford Rockets lost against the Central Raiders back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rockford was dealt a 68-37 defeat at the hands of Central. Rockford has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Rockets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ellen Gordee, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenda Ebba, who scored six points.
Rockford has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockford's road trip will continue as they head out to face New London-Spicer at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for Central, they will square off against Glencoe-Silver Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glencoe-Silver Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central in Minnesota (Glencoe-Silver Lake is ranked 112th, while Central is ranked 231st).
