For three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Troy Aikman, Thursday nights belong to the NFL as a member of Fox's Thursday Night Football broadcast team.

But on Friday nights, Aikman is all about the high school game as a member of the coaching staff at Episcopal School of Dallas (Dallas, Texas).

Mitchell Gladstone of The Dallas Morning News wrote on the Pro Football Hall of Famer trying his hand at the prep level this year earlier this week.

"I'd always wanted to help out with high school [football] here," Aikman said on local radio in Dallas earlier this week. "I'd reached out to different programs, including [Episcopal School of Dallas] where my kids go, and they had said, 'Yeah, we’d love to have you help out.' But then I looked at my schedule with broadcasting, and it just hasn’t been easy to do."

Aikman's stepson Val Mooty is a senior wide receiver for the Eagles, who enter this weekend's matchup with St. Andrew's/St. Stephen's Episcopal (Austin) with a 3-1 record.

The former Dallas Cowboys star is one of only four quarterbacks to lead three Super Bowl victories. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame of 2006 and joined the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009.

Aikman began his college career at Oklahoma before transferring to UCLA. He played high school football at Henryetta (Okla.).
