The folks at
247Sports have to feel pretty good about their projection of
Jeff Okudah coming out of high school.
Okudah, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound cornerback, was pegged as a Top 10 national prospect by 247Sports in the Class of 2017. The former
South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, Texas) star will likely back up that ranking by becoming a Top 10 pick in this week's NFL Draft.
As a junior at Ohio State, Okudah led the Buckeyes with nine pass breakups and three interceptions.
MOCK DRAFT: CBSSports.com experts make picks
Detroit has been widely reported to be a suitor for Okudah. Ryan Wilson of CBSSports.com has him going with the No. 3 pick to the Lions while Chris Trapasso sees the NFC North squad attempting to trade down and still grab the talented corner at No. 5. Pete Prisco has things going down a little differently with the Jaguars taking him off the board at No. 9.
The draft begins Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and will be aired by ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network.
