Basketball Recap: Leadore Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Gem last Friday, Leadore came back down to earth. The Leadore Mustangs might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Grace Lutheran Royals an easy 50-25 victory. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Leadore lost on Tuesday, don't look at Porter Mayo. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mayo a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Foster, who posted four points.

Leadore now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Grace Lutheran, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leadore and Non Varsity Opponent will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grace Lutheran will take on American Heritage in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
