Basketball Recap: Portage Takes a Loss

Portage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 74-55 to the Baraboo Thunderbirds, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 175th).

Portage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Baraboo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-11.

Portage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Baraboo, they are taking a road trip to challenge Milwaukee Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Milwaukee Lutheran's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 22 contests.
