Baseball Game Preview: Armwood Hawks vs. Wharton Wildcats

The Armwood Hawks will take on the Wharton Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Monday just wasn't the day for Armwood's offense. They came up short against Plant on Monday, falling 8-0. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Wharton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 9-5 to Steinbrenner.

Jairius Morris made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Anello, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Wharton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Armwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Armwood skirted past Wharton 5-4 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Armwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wharton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
