Basketball Recap: Springfield's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Springfield had won two straight games and Jameka Brungard did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Springfield Tigers came out on top against the South Range Raiders by a score of 45-38 thanks in part to Brungard, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 18 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Springfield's points.

Kendall Maughan was another key player, putting up four points and three steals. What's more, she also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Springfield now has a winning record of 8-7. As for South Range, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springfield will challenge McDonald at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Range, they will square off against Struthers at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
