Volleyball Game Preview: Luling Eagles vs. Nixon-Smiley Mustangs

The Luling Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Nixon-Smiley Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Luling has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 9.

Luling lost 3-0 to Stockdale on Friday.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-5, 25-6.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Nixon-Smiley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Karnes City 3-2. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Badgers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Nixon-Smiley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-11.

Luling's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Nixon-Smiley, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 12-17.
