Softball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Leon's Winning Streak

Leon managed to slip by Madison County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 8-2 to the Cowboys on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

Leon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lamonika Sims, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

With the loss, Leon broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5. As for Madison County, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Leon has already played their next game, a 16-6 victory against Buchholz on the 5th. As for Madison County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Bell on the 8th.
