Baseball Recap: West Forsyth Finds Playoff Glory Versus South Iredell

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Forsyth walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the South Iredell Vikings 2-1. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one run.

West Forsyth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 20-9.

Looking ahead, West Forsyth will challenge Cuthbertson at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Titans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. South Iredell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
