Softball Recap: Dundee/Bradford Central Has No Trouble Against Honeoye

Dundee/Bradford Central barely beat Honeoye the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The BraveScots blew past the Bulldogs 18-1 on Monday. Considering the BraveScots have won four matches by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Addie Tham made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Korrin Yeoman was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Reese Simpson, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Dundee/Bradford Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .559. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Dundee/Bradford Central's record is now 4-1. As for Honeoye, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dundee/Bradford Central will host Penn Yan Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The BraveScots are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Honeoye, they will take on Red Jacket at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
