Softball Recap: Marcellus Takes a Loss

Marcellus fell victim to Pearl River and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 11-0 to the Pirates. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marcellus saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Dilmore, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Dilmore's first of the season.

Marcellus now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Pearl River, the victory was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Marcellus didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 win against Hastings on the 18th. As for Pearl River, they have also already played their next game, a 10-3 victory against Nardin Academy on the 18th.
