Basketball Recap: KIPP Comes Up Short

KIPP played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Metro-East Lutheran Knights and fell 65-34. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Junior Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Metro-East Lutheran, going 6 for 9 en route to 16 points along with five assists and four blocks.

KIPP's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Metro-East Lutheran, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-8 record.

KIPP will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Gateway Tech at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Metro-East Lutheran, they will take on Collinsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collinsville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.
