Softball Recap: Presentation Takes a Loss

After flying high against Waggener on Thursday, Presentation came back down to earth. The Toppers took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brown Bears on Monday.

Joanna Logsdon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

Presentation now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Brown, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Presentation will venture away from home to challenge Seneca at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brown, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Portland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
