Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Pine's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Pine hadn't done well against Doyle recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Pine Raiders managed a 54-50 win over the Doyle Tigers. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 67-56 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Pine is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Doyle, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-11.

Pine and Doyle should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Pine (ranked 153rd) will meet Bogalusa (ranked 327th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Doyle will square off against Amite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday up 235 places (90 vs. 325).
