Softball Recap: Evergreen Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Evergreen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Steilacoom Sentinels with a sharp 19-2 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 14 runs or more this season.

Evergreen pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Steilacoom, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evergreen will head out to square off against Highline at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Steilacoom, they will venture away from home to face off against Foss at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sentinels are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
