Volleyball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sugar Hill Christian Academy, Covenant Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Covenant Christian Academy never let North Georgia HomeSchool on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-23.

Covenant Christian Academy's offense was headlined by Isabel McGilberry and McKenna King, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Clara Roughton and her seven assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Covenant Christian Academy's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Covenant Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Notre Dame Academy on the 2nd. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, after both having extra time off, they and Cottage will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
