While Manteca's win against Hilmar wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Buffaloes won by a set and slipped past the Yellowjackets 2-1.

Hilmar's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lia Salvador, who had 14 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Clare Caetano, who had seven digs and two aces.

Manteca's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Hilmar, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-12.

Manteca has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Dougherty Valley on the 11th. As for Hilmar, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Granite Bay on the 11th.
