Baseball Recap: Menominee Indian Comes Up Short

Menominee Indian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks, falling 15-7. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warhawks from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Menominee Indian saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikey Chapman, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. The Eagles are 2-1 when Chapman posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-7 otherwise. Daniel King also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Menominee Indian's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

While Menominee Indian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
