Softball Recap: Dayton Christian Comes Up Short

If Dayton Christian was feeling good fresh off their 33-19 takedown of Stivers School for the Arts last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The WARRIORS lost 20-6 to the Lockland Panthers on Monday.

Kate Temple made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Addison Flaum was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Dayton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lockland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayton Christian will host Ponitz Career Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lockland, they will take on Cincinnati Country Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Nighthawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.67 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
