Volleyball Recap: Brooke James and Teagan Bruchez Secure Win for West Grand + How To Watch

The home team had come away the winner the last four times West Grand and De Beque had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs blew past the Dragons 3-0 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13, 25-14.

Leading West Grand to victory were Teagan Bruchez and Brooke James. Bruchez had four digs and three aces, while James had seven digs and three aces. What's more, Bruchez racked up 14 assists, the most she's had since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: West Grand was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as De Beque only served three.

West Grand's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for De Beque, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Grand will venture away from home to face off against Vail Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for De Beque, after both having extra time off, they and Soroco will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
