Volleyball Recap: Smithtown West Comes Up Short

Smithtown West lost against Massapequa back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Smithtown West fell just short of Massapequa by a score of 1-0.

Taylor Marsh paced Smithtown West's offense, picking up five kills. Marsh got some help from Kalia Wheeler and her six assists. Marsh was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Smithtown West's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3-1. As for Massapequa, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Smithtown West will venture away from home to challenge East Islip at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Massapequa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
