Softball Recap: Crenshaw Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Crenshaw and Hawkins have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Cougars lost 26-5 to the Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-17 back in April.

Crenshaw's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hawkins, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crenshaw will venture away from home to challenge George Washington Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Generals have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches. As for Hawkins, they will challenge Dymally at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
