Softball Preview: Jay County Patriots vs. Fort Recovery Indians
The Jay County Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Recovery Indians at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Jay County's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
Last Thursday, Jay County got the win against Delta by a conclusive 16-3. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Carley Trinidad made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Trinidad was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jay County let Jozey Shimp and Hallie Schwieterman run wild.
