Payton Garner Game Report: vs Matanzas

For the first time in her career, Payton Garner scored a receiving touchdown on Tuesday. She picked up 21 receiving yards and one touchdown, but sadly Mainland still had to take a 12-7 loss at the hands of Matanzas. Our internal rating system judged Tuesday's effort as the best she's ever given (but hopefully not for long).

Garner and Mainland will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on New Smyrna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Mainland will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 161 places lower in Florida), but they're not letting that get them down.
