Volleyball Game Preview: Bishop Hendricken Hawks vs. La Salle Academy Rams

Bishop Hendricken hasn't had much luck against La Salle Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hawks will head out to square off against the Rams at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bishop Hendricken is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Coventry, who was ranked 15th at the time (Bishop Hendricken was ranked tenth). The Hawks walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Oakers on Monday. The win was some much needed relief for the Hawks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, La Salle Academy had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against East Greenwich by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Bishop Hendricken now has a winning record of 6-5. As for La Salle Academy, their record now sits at 6-7.

Bishop Hendricken might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from La Salle Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
