Basketball Recap: Dalton Brewer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Callaway over Boonville

After flying high against Silex last Friday, North Callaway came back down to earth. The North Callaway Thunderbirds took a 58-40 bruising from the Boonville Pirates on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

North Callaway's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dalton Brewer, who posted ten points. Jacob Blevins was another key player, putting up ten points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, North Callaway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
