While UMS-Wright Prep put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Davidson. UMS-Wright Prep put the hurt on Davidson with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won eight in a row.

Emma Trawick was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Emma Shepler also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

UMS-Wright Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davidson only posted an OBP of .000.

UMS-Wright Prep pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 6.67 strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.38 in the others. As for Davidson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UMS-Wright Prep will venture away from home to challenge Elberta at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davidson, they will head out to face off against McGill-Toolen at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
