Softball Recap: Pleasant Hope Wins Going Away Against Conway

Pleasant Hope lost to Conway back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Pirates blew past the Bears 16-1. Considering the Pirates have won five contests by more than 11 runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyra Keeling made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Keeling was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Pleasant Hope let Jordyn Miner and Addison Rogers run wild. Miner went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs, while Rogers went 2-for-3 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Those two triples gave Miner a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Alexander, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Pleasant Hope always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pleasant Hope's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-6. As for Conway, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Pleasant Hope has already played their next matchup, a 14-7 loss against Billings on the 15th. As for Conway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-0 defeat against Norwood on the 15th.
