Preview: Legal Prep vs. Chicago Mathematics & Science

Legal Prep will stay at home for another game and welcome Chicago Mathematics & Science at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Legal Prep and the Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the had to settle for second. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

The losing side was boosted by Maurquese Washington, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was TyShawn Spires, who scored eight points.

Meanwhile, Chicago Mathematics & Science unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 66-57 to Bowen. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Joune Woods, who scored 16 points along with five steals and five blocks. He hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. August Ineka was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.

Legal Prep's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Fans should be in for an exciting game on Thursday as the two teams are among the highest scoring teams in the league right now. Legal Prep hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 57 points per game. However, it's not like Chicago Mathematics & Science struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.3 points per game.
