Sargent gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Mancos Bluejays to the tune of 57-14. The Farmers have beaten the Bluejays the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bluejays has come to flipping the script.

Sargent's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Angelise Garcia led the charge by putting up 23 points. Another player making a difference was Kandace Pargin, who posted 14 points.

Coincidentally, Sargent and Mancos will both be playing Montezuma-Cortez the next time they take the court. The Bluejays will head out to face the Panthers at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Farmers will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
