Basketball Game Preview: Jay Bulldogs vs. Checotah Wildcats

The Jay Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Checotah Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Jay is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Sequoyah and fell 73-46.

Meanwhile, Checotah unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Poteau on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Jay came out on top in a nail-biter against Checotah when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 40-38. Does Jay have another victory up their sleeve, or will Checotah turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
