Basketball Recap: Taylor County Comes Up Short

If Taylor County was riding high fresh off their 68-42 takedown of Ocala Christian last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taylor County Bulldogs took a hard 52-36 fall against the Destin Sharks on Saturday.

Destin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trace Williams out in front who went 5 of 8 on his way to 17 points and three steals. Those 17 points gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Memphis DeLong, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and six steals.

Taylor County now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Destin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Taylor County will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hamilton County at 7:00 p.m. As for Destin, they will head out to challenge Pace at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
