Flag Football Recap: Madison Highland Prep Comes Up Short

Madison Highland Prep fell victim to Valley Christian and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Trojans and fell 65-0. While losing is never fun, the Heat can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Trojans are ranked 18th).

Abigail Trillo continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Valley Christian, throwing for 180 yards and six TDs. Trillo is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: she's passed for at least three every time she's taken the field this season. Alana Cross made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Madison Highland Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Valley Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Madison Highland Prep and Valley Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Heat see the field they'll take on Leading Edge Academy - GEC at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Valley Christian, their break will end when they face Gilbert Christian at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
