Madison hadn't beaten Adrian on the road since October 17, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Trojans skirted past the Maples 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted against the Maples since October 15, 2016.

Madison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Lilly Pharion paced Madison's offense, picking up 15 kills. Pharion got some help from Ja'Kara Rincon and her 19 assists. Kianna McKinney controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Madison and bumps their season record up to 4-3. As for Adrian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Madison is on the road again on Saturday to play Columbia Central at 2:00 p.m. As for Adrian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roosevelt at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
