Basketball Recap: North Fort Myers Extends Winning Streak to Seven

North Fort Myers came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 52-13 win over the Island Coast Gators. The Red Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 22 points or more this season.

North Fort Myers' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bianca Iten led the charge by putting up 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Iten is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season. Gia Molloy was another key player, going 6 for 8 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven steals and six boards.
