Soccer Game Preview: George Stevens Academy vs. Bangor Christian

The George Stevens Academy Eagles will challenge the Bangor Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. George Stevens Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

George Stevens Academy came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to Penobscot Christian.

George Stevens Academy's goal came courtesy of Emma Perry-St Peter, who's now up to 11 this season.

Meanwhile, Bangor Christian faced Wisdom in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Patriots skirted past the Pioneers 4-3. Bangor Christian haven't had any issues with Wisdom recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bangor Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for George Stevens Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

George Stevens Academy might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Bangor Christian in their previous meeting last Saturday. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 7-0.
